Ningami 2
Ningami 2 is a deck builder board game with 4 unique characters to play as, and 3 different board types to play through. (Plus maybe even a secret 4th board type???) The game is honestly pretty self explanatory, but here are a few helpful tips for some not immediately obvious things:
Tips
- After you roll a die, you can reroll it if you haven't moved yet.
- The soak status halves all shield values, both for current shields and future shields. (eg, a card that gives you 6 shields normally will only give you 3 when soaked).
- The burn status ignores shields and does x amount of damage at the start of each turn, where x is the amount of burn counters that you (or the enemy) has. And the burn counter decreases by 1 each turn.
- You can unlock new characters/boards by winning a round with your most recently unlocked character/board combination.
- If you want to completely wipe your save, press Select 22 times in a row on the title screen.
Controls
WASD and JK, or Arrow keys and ZX; Shift = Select

Patch notes
1.2.3
Fixed a glitch where you couldn't reach the end of the 3rd haunted house map.
1.2.2
Fixed a glitch with the Copier card. It wasn't calculating mana costs correctly, but now it does.
1.2.1
Minor fixes and balance tweaks. Mostly just made the game slightly easier.
1.2
Good bye, autosave. Hello, quick-save. After each board, you can elect to either continue on to the the next board, or suspend your run with a quick-save. If you save and quit, your quick-save will be deleted whenever you resume your run and start the next board. A full run can be pretty long, and this feature will allow you to take a break without fear of losing any progress. As with before, old saves should still work with this newer version. However, it might be best to start a new save just in case. Caveat emptor and all of that.
1.1.1
Pretty sure I've fixed the random crash bug, but the autosave is still in place at the moment. The next and final planned update will be to replace the autosave with the quick-save, as described in the 1.1 patch notes.
1.1
In response to a rare bug that randomly crashes the game when transitioning between screens, I've added an autosave feature. The game will autosave at the start of every board turn, and will auto-delete the save at the end of the run. Saving all the time kinda goes against the spirit of the game, so be a good sport and don't abuse it. If I can definitively fix the crashing glitch, then I'll likely scale back saving to an earlier design where you can quick-save, but only between boards. Btw, saves from the previous version should still work with the 1.1 version.

This game is fantastic! I've found it very addicting, with just the right amount of challenge. I enjoy the variety in the cards and how it lends to different strategies for building your deck. Great fit for short or long sessions on my Miyoo Mini.
First off, I appreciate the high praise, and the bug report. And I'm sorry that you ran into that bug. It would've made me furious to be unable to finish a hard run right at the end.
Can't believe I missed that bug during play-testing. Must've messed up the map's import sometime after the last time that I playtested that route. Looking at the code for the map, it doesn't take a programmer to see that that specific tile is messed up lol.
But the fix was easy enough to make, and I've pushed it up under the new version 1.2.3 build.
As for the door on the right, that's just there for fun. I never intended for it to end up as a malicious taunt to the player after getting soft-locked by that broken tile glitch. Funny how things work out like that.
Lastly, as a bonus, I'll divulge that I've been working on a huge expansion pack to the game. With 2 or 3 more areas, way more cards, and 3 completely different card archetypes, each with their own unique mechanics. I really fell in love with this game while I was making it, and I just had to return to it. No idea when it'll be done, but sometime in 2026 is the goal.
Thanks for the quick response on that bug, and I'll be looking forward to the expansion!
Logue looks really cool, too, though I may wait for the beta or full release before giving it a try.
Hi Bownly, I put your game into my gb compo 25 Video. Hope u like it. I added subtitles like English (us) too :)
Awesome! I'm addict to ur game :)
Hey, thanks. Glad to hear it!
This game is really fun! It’s challenging at first (took me 4 runs to go past the second stage XD) but when you get some good cards there’s a lot of cool interactions you can use. Like using a daruma with your last mana to get a +2 scroll and a copier XD. Very satisfying. Sadly, I found a bug with the copier that would make your mana overflow when copying a card that costs more than your remaining mana. Aside from that, impressive work! Everything is very solid and works really well. Nice animations too! This was my deck:
Oh, dang. I somehow missed this comment. Thanks for enjoying the game, and thanks for the bug report! The copier was a late addition and I clearly didn't test enough of its edge cases lol. I'll have to look into fixing that one of these days.
